Art Pick - Look at me
Tuesday, July 04, 2006

If you've been under a box the past year, old is the new black. Vintage is the new hot thing and Look At Me is a great website with a huge collection of old photographs. With over 550 photos, you can study how people take family portraits, where they decide to take pictures, and it's just a great form of people watching. They are all found photographs and what's great is that anyone can relate to the pictures, whether it is a sibling portrait from the 50s or the 80s. We all have those photos. Federic Bonn started the project with just a few found photos in Paris and has grown to even score recognition in the NY Times.

oh yeah, Happy 4th of July!

sidenote: I'd rather not have any more pity for my foot injury. It's a pain, I know it. I'm wasting away, I know it. It's okay. Quit the aww-ing. I'll live.

About

Jane Tam has moved to a different domain. Please forward your links to http://janetam.com. Jane is a 21 year old Photography student placed in Syracuse University but originally from New York City. She enjoys all sorts of music but you can classify her as the stereotypical indie kid. Slightly offensive and bitter sometimes, this blog is a place to vent frustrations but also a blog to display current photo/art projects as well as encourage new talent from music to art to films; basically whatever tickles Jane's fancy.
