There's a forrest in NYC, originally uploaded by thejane.

below the buildings lie a row of photos of the luscious forrest greenery; yet caged by iron gates. people walk by these windows everyday and don't notice that there's a forrest in the streets of NYC.

corner of Prince and Greene street in Nolita. Was an experimentation with the long exposure option on the canon s500. Had to fuss with color balance, levels, etc to get the image out 'cause of the overexposure.

Down Under the Manhattan Bridge Overpass

DUMBO - Manhattan Bridge

I did some more wandering New Year's Eve and landed Down Under the Manhattan Bridge Overpass. Another artsy district in Brooklyn but with its two bridges making the place unique, it knocks Williamsburg outta the league. I wish I could've stayed there all night. Instead I trekked to 42nd st. to not witness the balldrop 'cause of the enormous crowds of tourists. Sadly in that situation, I wish I wasnt in Times Square.

Interestingly, living in NYC lets me experience things I never want to experience again but glad I experienced them. Crowdedness.. I hate. Wandering w/ friends.. I love (with cameras.. eh, not so much).

If you go to the same area with friends and they are all photographers, is it pointless of you to take photos? (Since they will all basically end up the same?)
